Welcome to Sublime! Let me tell you why I started this blog.
About Me
My name is Marcy and I live in Virginia with my husband and our dog Foster! We have four grown children who live in various locations across the US, one granddaughter, and a grandson on the way.
I’m a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with an MBA and help organizations streamline processes and remove constraints so they can achieve their goals.
I have a background in counseling, mentoring, training, public speaking, event planning, nonprofit leadership, customer service, and writing.
My Why
For seven years I served as the leader of a nonprofit where our mission was to help people overcome challenges so they could achieve goals.
It was during this time I developed a passion for helping others and learned my purpose is to help people and organizations improve so they can achieve what is important to them.
I started this blog to share my passion for improvement and help others solve complex challenges in simple, effective ways.
I want to help people identify what is most important to them and manage the most important thing they have–their lives.
Some More About My Background
I am a lifelong learner and student at heart. I’ve earned four degrees and continue my love for learning by consistently taking classes, attending workshops, and systematically reading and studying topics ranging from self-improvement, mental heath, philosophy, religion, and biographies, to business books.
With over a decade of experience as a student I will combine study and learning insights with practical strategies for understanding yourself, others, and the world around you.
Relying on over twelve years of experience as a nonprofit leader and process and people improver, I hope to help others learn how to make their lives better and manage it so they can achieve what is most important to them.
Why I Hope You Stick Around
They say that a person will not work a day in their life if they can find a job they love doing. During my years leading that nonprofit I did that. I woke up everyday and helped the organization grow so we could help more people better.
I want to continue to do that and in a way that combines my love for study, education, understanding and managing the most important thing we have–ourselves and our lives.
I hope you will connect and go on this journey with me. Please subscribe to the my newsletter where you can get curated information in your inbox or to get email updates about everything new that is going on with this blog!
